Effects - Quick shots of slides, using the camera in a spying type of way maybe CCTV?

True Blood
Genre - Horror, Supernatural, Religious.
Location - Country musics, desert like animals, starts of in the marshes.
Props - Venomous animals, blood, derogatory women, religion.
Themes - Rebellion, Sexual, Horror, Supernatural beings.
Effects - Tracking comera, close up and sped up shots.

The Wire
The wire is a crime themed show set in Boston America. The evidence that it is set in derelict housing with a lot of a sterotypical gang members being shown on the clip. The props used are drugs, forensics, knives, derelict housing, evidentuary props such as sealed up bags etc. The themes that are clear from the title sequence is that it's based on mystery, crime and an almost poverty stricken lifestyle of the people that lived in the housing around that area. The effects, like the camera angle and how it tracks the 'target' resembles someone spying on them from a distance, this adds to the idea that it is a crime theme based program. Also, the quick slides from different locations and close ups on drugs/knives/guns adds as well. All of the features from above, help to create a small sense of what to expect from the program which I personally find very effective.
True Blood
True Blood is a fiction based program, that revolves around the idea of vampires and their confliction with religion (if they were real that is...) The title sequence begins with a underwater camera angle that pans over the top of the marshes and through the desert terrain which gives a sense that we are their eyes, as though we are seeing it from their point of view. It also includes a venomous snake in a slow freeze frame type of clip and a dead rat with blood spread around it, which shows that they are the predator. There is also a lot of clips showing religious acts which hints that there will be a lot of religion involved in the program. On the other side, there are also a selection of clips showing the naked woman and provocative dancing.The themes that are given in this title sequence are things such a rebellion, sexual references, horror, supernatural. The effects used are a effective tracking camera, close ups on dead creatures and time minipulated shots.
