Blink 182
Blink 182
Photography
The image isn't photography per say, it's more a drawing if anything. But I think that it relates to the album by being quite casual yet rebellious which conforms to their type of band/music.
Text
The use of forming a title through magazine/newspaper is effective because it creates a feeling that they want to be anonymous and not have people know them on a personal level.
Portraiture
I don't know what to say for portratiture when it comes to this album.
Integration of imagery
The cover of blink 182 appeals to their atudience by using attractive, eye catching colours and a distinguishable emotion which can be easily linked to the genre of 'soft rock' and therefore can be linked to Blink182 without using their faces as a way to make the CD sell. The designer took a risk by not making the name blatant on the cover, by doing this it confirmed that they've managed to attract enough fans to be able to sell their album with any random design.
