The Vaccines
Photography
In the album cover "come of age", the Vaccines have decided to use models instead of their own faces as the main image. This could show that they aren't after getting their faces recognised or that they are trying to target a younger audience by using models of a younger age. The use of younger models adds to their title of "come of age" because they all look like they are either of age of consent or about to turn it.
Text
The album name "Come of age" hints at a sexual term in which it is legal to consent to sex. The adds to the genre commonly associated with 'Rock', as sexual terms a big part of rock music. The font is block capitals written in red, this insinuates that it may be 'dangerous' as the colour red is linked to danger as is rock. It also resembles the 'urgent' stamps that you may find on letters. The text is at the top of the album tucked behind a models head so as to not intrude onto the picture.
Portraiture
There are four models in the image, all of which have their own space that isn't being intruded by anyone elses which shows equality in the 'band', not one model is central in the cover. The picture is in black and white which is a conformity to the genre rock as well as the rough and rundown appearance. None of the models are smiling but they all have direct mode of address as they are looking directly towards the camera.
Intergration of imagery
The intergration of imagery is that they're desperately trying to have a large majority of symbols conformed with Rock all on one cover which gives the audience an idea that they're trying a bit too hard. The balance between the space of all the models and the title have been added together well because the cover isn't too full and still shows a white background which means the cover isn't too crammed.

Blink 182
Blink 182
Photography
The image isn't photography per say, it's more a drawing if anything. But I think that it relates to the album by being quite casual yet rebellious which conforms to their type of band/music.
Text
The use of forming a title through magazine/newspaper is effective because it creates a feeling that they want to be anonymous and not have people know them on a personal level.
Portraiture
I don't know what to say for portratiture when it comes to this album.
Integration of imagery
The cover of blink 182 appeals to their atudience by using attractive, eye catching colours and a distinguishable emotion which can be easily linked to the genre of 'soft rock' and therefore can be linked to Blink182 without using their faces as a way to make the CD sell. The designer took a risk by not making the name blatant on the cover, by doing this it confirmed that they've managed to attract enough fans to be able to sell their album with any random design.

Mumford And Sons CD cover
Mumford and Sons Album Cover
Photography
The photo is taken on an ordinary street, this represents the background in which they were brought up, or maybe even their attitude.
The shop is central of the image which attracs attention to it. The ordinary, plain colours of the shop shows that they're not a "pop" band which is usually closely related to bright colours that will attract attention. The shops either side of the central one have a contrast in colours whereas the one they are in is just one plain colour. The instruments in the photograph are being subtly used to reflect on what type of genre they are.
Text
The font used on the cover is a plain yet elegant font, most likely times new roman with a twist on the "and" symbol, this could reflect on their music, plain every day music with a twist. The eccentric "and" symbol suggests a not quite classical but older style of music.
Portraiture
The attitude represented in this photography is quite a restricted lifestyle, the members of the band are stuck in behind the glass window in a cramped shop. The fact that they're behind a window could have been arranged to look as though they're on the inside looking out at the life they used to lead. It's hard to distinguish their faces which may have been done on purpose. To hide their identity is a major difference to other artists that use their identity to make themselves well known, this could reflect on their laid back attitudes to becoming famous.
Intergration of Imagery
Overall, the general attitude portrayed is that as a band they are quite restricted and aren't that crazed about becoming famous. The text and image go well together because they both represent the bands attitude well, plain but with a twist. Also, the designer of the cover has managed to integrate the genre of music the band plays by posing them alongside their instruments.

The Wire
The wire is a crime themed show set in Boston America. The evidence that it is set in derelict housing with a lot of a sterotypical gang members being shown on the clip. The props used are drugs, forensics, knives, derelict housing, evidentuary props such as sealed up bags etc. The themes that are clear from the title sequence is that it's based on mystery, crime and an almost poverty stricken lifestyle of the people that lived in the housing around that area. The effects, like the camera angle and how it tracks the 'target' resembles someone spying on them from a distance, this adds to the idea that it is a crime theme based program. Also, the quick slides from different locations and close ups on drugs/knives/guns adds as well. All of the features from above, help to create a small sense of what to expect from the program which I personally find very effective.
True Blood
True Blood is a fiction based program, that revolves around the idea of vampires and their confliction with religion (if they were real that is...) The title sequence begins with a underwater camera angle that pans over the top of the marshes and through the desert terrain which gives a sense that we are their eyes, as though we are seeing it from their point of view. It also includes a venomous snake in a slow freeze frame type of clip and a dead rat with blood spread around it, which shows that they are the predator. There is also a lot of clips showing religious acts which hints that there will be a lot of religion involved in the program. On the other side, there are also a selection of clips showing the naked woman and provocative dancing. The themes that are given in this title sequence are things such a rebellion, sexual references, horror, supernatural. The effects used are a effective tracking camera, close ups on dead creatures and time minipulated shots.
